Christmas Tree Hunting
This morning we went to a Christmas Tree farm in Westtown with Neel and Suzi to find the most perfect 1st Christmas Tree ever with Trey. Although it was insanely freezing, we had a lovely time.
I tried bundling up Cory and Trey the best that I could …
Our tree!!! Way above our heads … there was about 5 plus foot of trunk that had to be cut off. Basically, our tree was on a pedestal …
Happy little tree hunter / cutter …
If this moment had a soundtrack, clearly Timber by Pit Bull feat. Kesha would be playing right now … "it's going down, I'm yellllinnggggg timmmmbbbberrrrr" …
Neel, Suzi, Bear and their tree …
Neel getting his cut on …
And off we go ….
We over-estimated our ceiling height so Cory had to do some more trimming when we got home. Followed by even more trimming once my type A personality set in and I couldn't stand the bottom branches …
All ready to cut this baby lose …
Trey admiring himself in one of the Christmas ornaments. I am so artsy …
First time trimming a tree with my boo. Loved it! Until he was over it and just weirdly grunted until I let him out of the bjorn …
For about 5 minutes Buckley growled at the ornaments … thank god that was short lived …
Such a great day with this little man ...
And he's done …
Our beautiful tree <3 … it looks better in real life … I promise !!

Happy Gobble Gobble!
Well we just wrapped up Trey's first Thanksgiving! It started with Uncle Neel, Aunt Suzi and Bear and finished with a blend of Cory's mom's family members. It was quite delightful and full of deliciousness. Since I knew there was going to be one really annoying camera person there *cough* my father-in-law *cough*, I didn't want to bring my camera. So I barely have any pics except for a few blurry camera phone shots …
Measuring the boys up against each other …
The boys lost in deep convo ….

And the boys just being cute boys (with a splash of cute Aunt Becky) ...
All tryptophan'ed out …
I would say Trey's first holiday was a great success. Looking forward to next years Thanksgiving when he will actually be enjoying solid foods!
Only 27 more days until Christmas with the Shaws and the Smiths !!!

Floor Humpage!
Trey is slowly but surely starting to get his crawl on! He gets on all fours and rocks like mad! Today he even put his knee forward twice (!), only to crash his face into the ground and whine a lot. But he's still cute so its all good :-)

Just Because He Melts Me
Just a few pics of a happy boy enjoying some time with his daddy ...
I know he loves me way more than his daddy but it's still nice to see that Cory can put a smile on his face :-)

Slowly Moving ... Backwards
So my little masculine petunia is starting to get his reverse crawl on (which is an overstatement since it's more of a non-planned shimmy)
The other day I put Trey on his back on the play mat that you see in the pictures below. I was on the phone / computer with EZ Pass (side note - they need me to send in a copy of a marriage license to change my name. Ummmm if someone wants to go through the trouble of stealing my car which the tag is linked to, hack into my account with my user name and password and change my name because that is what is going to get them caught ... just let them do it. Frankly at that point, they deserve it) when I saw Trey disappear from my left peripheral only to appear a few moments in my right peripheral.
Pretty impressive movement ! - which is what he will say to me one day when I'm in a home drinking prune juice.

Thankfully he gave up right before he took a sharp turn and plummeted down the stairs. I guess it's time to go gate shopping!

Bubble Bathing
Since Monday we have been trying to get Trey into a nighttime routine, which involves a delightful little bubble bath in his awesome ducky bath. The bath is a "transitional" tub which is suppose to help a baby transition from their infant bath into an adult bath. It is kinda boss because it has a soft, padded slip resistant bottom and nice cushy sides. Whoever thought this tub is my hero and deserves more than $14.99 a tub but I digress ...
The first time Trey sat in the tub, he was totally frozen. But after sometime he warmed up to the tub and splashed around like a mad man. Melted my heart. He also thought it was really funny when I put his squeak toys on the side of the tub. I am such a riot sometimes! Here are a few pics ...
Love his big blue peepers ...
Trey is only 6 months old in this pic but if he plays his cards right (and eats like I eat every day), he might look pretty much like this at 60 (thinning hair ... rolls .... overall hot) ...
He hasn't quite mastered how to play with squeak toys in the tub.. Especially when his little chunk leg pops out of nowhere and all of a sudden he has a foot to play with too ...
All fresh and clean and covering his man bits like the gentleman that he is ...
We love this little man so much it's crazy. Everyday is fun and exciting (regardless of what Cory thinks). Just yesterday he learned to roll over from his back to his stomach (he's been rolling the other way since August), and now he is squirming backwards in a reverse crawl move! It's only a matter of time until he's headed off to college and I am not so silently judging his girlfriends *sigh*.
